Interiors UK at NEC Birmingham

Hello all you lovely people.
Well in January I ventured down to NEC in Birmingham for the Interiors UK Exhibition!
It was really good! I have to say the best part of it was the Contemporary Design Hall
which was emerging designers, as well as design trends and graduates work.
That was the part I liked the most, because it was different, the ideas were fresh and quirky and
really inspiring :)
Anywhooo....here are some photos from that day!

George Make-Up

So a few weeks ago I stepped into Asda and browsed the Make-up section.
I have used George nail polishes but never any of the face make-up.
All of their make-up is under £4! So I decided to try some things...
I got two of their 'shimmer bricks' the one on the left is
No.4 Heaven Sent which is more pink tones, and has a lot of shimmer.
And the one on the right is No.7 Starstuck which is more on the brown
tones and gorgeous.

The Shimmer bricks are great! I love using the really light colours as highlighters for my cheeks, and the peach colours as a blush, but I have also been experimenting with the brown tones as eye shadows.
For £4 each they are an absolute bargin and they work well as individual colours,
or mixed together to create a wonderful glow!

I also picked up the George Face Primer.
Now THIS I have to rave about!! For years I have used GOSH's velvet primer and
I think it is amazing. But as my bottle of that was running out I thought I
would try this George one for £4 budget friendly price vs GOSH 13.99 Price tag.

This face primer is amazing! It has a gel like consistency which I like as it slides on easily and
leaves your skin feeling super soft and smooth. It has a hint of colour to it and
creates an amazing base for your make-up.
I find it keeps my foundation on and it helps apply your foundations so easily.

If you havnt had a look at George Make-up go and have a look, because
I am so impressed with these!

Vintage Craft Fair and Fashion Show

On Friday I spent my eve at a lovely bar attending a Vintage Craft Fair & Fashion Show.

My friend Julie Hogan aka 'Patchwork Heart' had a stall there, showcasing her gorgeous textile creations.

Julie Hogan is one of my best friends and she is an amazing textile designer.
She creates all kinds of gorgeous things, from home decorations, wedding favours, clothes, bags,
accessories and her famous 'Jingle JooJoo Dolls'.

"Jingle JooJoo dolls are hand made with love by Julie Hogan. Personalise and choose your very own best friend, name her and track her progress as she comes to life."

Each one is completely unique! You can chose everything from hair colour, outfit, fabrics, shoes, any accessories - they are totally original and a wonderful bespoke gift :)

Jingle JooJoo Dolls are around £30 and can be personalised in so many ways!
Visit my friend Julie Hogans Patchwork Heart Facebook for more photos and enquires :)

The craft fair had some lovely pieces, especially Christmas gifts!

'Alison Loves to Bake' were an amazing cupcake company that attended. I tried the Rasberry Swirl and it was sooo gorgeous, fluffy icing with a rasbery centre. So gorgeous and really popular on the night.

My cupcake!!

After stalls of various crafts and creative bits and bobs, there was a Fashion Show, showcasing vintage pieces, mixed with new creations using vintages fabrics/vintage patterns, and also Rockabilly pieces.

All money raised from the night went to charity, and it was lovely to mingle with various creative and crafty people!! I love these kinds of nights, a few drinks with wonderfully creative ladies and gents!
